Train more. Breakdown less.

Recovery isn't the opposite of training. It's part of it. At AWAKEN, recovery services are built into the gym so you don't have to choose between pushing harder and staying healthy.

Real progress comes from training smart, not just hard.

Recovery at AWAKEN isn't an add-on. It's a core part of how we train. Most training problems — tightness, fatigue, recurring injuries aren't fixed by training harder. They're fixed by recovering properly. No pain? More gain, and that starts with keeping you healthy enough to keep showing up.

Release

Break down tissue restriction, adhesions, and tightness that limit movement and build up over time.

Restore

Rebuild range of motion, reduce inflammation, and return muscles to their functional baseline.

Revive

Come back to training stronger. Recovery is what turns training stress into actual progress.

RECOVERY SERVICES

Eight Ways We Keep You Training

Every service is designed to support training load, prevent injury, and extend the athlete's lifespan. Not to replace training. To protect it.

RELEASE

A practitioner uses a metal tool to perform Graston Technique therapy on a person's upper back.

Blading (IASTM)

Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that breaks down scar tissue, fascial restrictions, and chronic tightness — particularly effective for overuse injuries common in HYROX training.

  • Targets connective tissue and fascia
  • Accelerates tissue remodeling
  • Effective for IT band, calves, shoulders, and hips

RELEASE

A person receiving a back massage with hands applying firm pressure to the skin.

Myofascial Release

Hands-on manual therapy targeting the fascial system — the connective tissue network surrounding every muscle. Releases chronic tension patterns that restrict movement and cause referred pain.

  • Improves tissue mobility and joint range of motion
  • Reduces muscular compensation patterns
  • Complements strength and mobility work

RELEASE

Hands perform a deep tissue massage on the upper back and shoulder area.

Deep Tissue Massage

Targeted manual therapy working through superficial and deeper muscle layers to reduce soreness, flush metabolic waste, and restore baseline muscle tone after heavy training loads.

  • Reduces delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)
  • Supports recovery between training sessions
  • Improves blood flow to worked muscle groups

NEEDLING

A practitioner inserts fine acupuncture needles into a patient’s back during a treatment session.

Dry Needling

Fine needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points to release muscle knots, reduce referred pain, and restore normal neuromuscular function — particularly effective for stubborn, chronic tightness.

  • Releases deep trigger points non-manually
  • Reduces pain and improves function
  • Often used alongside blading and manual therapy

ADJUSTMENT

A person in gloves performs physical therapy or massage on the back of someone lying face down in a gym setting.

Spinal & Extremities Adjustment

Manual bone adjustments targeting the spine and extremity joints — restoring proper alignment, reducing nerve compression, and improving movement efficiency across the entire kinetic chain.

  • Addresses joint dysfunction and stiffness
  • Improves posture and movement mechanics
  • Supports long-term structural health

COLD THERAPY

A person with a neutral expression sits in a metal tub filled with ice water in an industrial gym setting.

Ice Bath / Cold Therapy

Cold water immersion to reduce systemic inflammation, accelerate recovery, and improve tolerance to training stress — a go-to tool for athletes in high-volume training phases.

  • Reduces acute inflammation post-training
  • Supports nervous system recovery
  • Effective for back-to-back training days

LIGHT THERAPY

Hands positioned in front of a panel emitting bright red therapeutic light.

Red Light Therapy

Low-level laser therapy using red and near-infrared wavelengths to stimulate cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and accelerate soft tissue recovery — non-invasive and evidence-backed.

  • Supports muscle and tendon repair at the cellular level
  • Reduces inflammation without medication
  • Can be used during any training phase

REHABILITATION

A physical therapist assisting a patient with a leg exercise using a green resistance band in a clinical gym setting.

Sports Rehab/PT

Structured rehabilitation programs for athletes returning from injury or managing chronic conditions — designed to rebuild strength, restore function, and return you to full training capacity.

  • Assessment-based, individualized program
  • Bridges gap between injury and full training
  • Coordinated with your coaches at Awaken

WHY IT MATTERS

Training Should Build You Up. Not Break You Down.

Sustainable performance is Awaken's core belief. Science-backed programming, recovery services, and injury prevention aren't extras — they are central to everything we do.

Awaken was built on the belief that real progress comes from training smart — and that means recovering right.

Holistic Wellness

Fitness goes beyond reps and sets. Recovery, sleep, and nutrition coaching are part of how we look at the complete athlete at AWAKEN.

Injury Resilience

Intentional programming keeps athletes on the floor and out of the physio room. We train for the long game.

Intentional Coaching

Every recovery session has a purpose. Every recommendation is tailored to the individual athlete's training load and goals.
